With superior manufacturing technology, Suntech has redefined the high-efficiency module series by integrating 166mm wafers with multi-bus and half-cut cell technology. This technology allows the module conversion efficiency of the half-cell series to reach up to 20.93%, guarantees a positive power output tolerance of 0-+5W, ensures high reliability, and the anti-reflection, hydrophobic coating improves light absorption and reduces dust on the surface.
In addition, the application of this technology in large commercial and utility power plants can significantly reduce LCOE, BoS, EPC, and land costs, influenced by the significant increase in product power.

By using half cells, the current (i) flowing through each busbar is halved. As a result, the amount of internal losses in the half-sheet module is one-quarter of that in the full-size module. In addition, half of the panel shading the other half still generates electricity.
Half-cell technology reduces power loss and allows independent power generation.

The half-panel design makes shading losses less. Under partial shading, the module yields more. Under specific shading conditions, the shading loss of half-cell modules is much better than that of conventional modules.
